Some physicians and scientists believe that schizophrenia requires adherence to a special antischizophrenic diet that excludes the intake of products containing casein and gluten.

Schizophrenia is a progressive disease characterized by gradual personality changes (emotional impoverishment, autism, strangeness and strangeness), negative changes in mental activity (dissociation, thinking disorders, decreased energy potential), psychopathological manifestations.

Useful foods for schizophrenia

  • yogurt products, cottage cheese, yogurt, buttermilk (contain amino acids that contribute to the absorption of all necessary nutrients, for active digestion, for the formation of vitamins B1 and K);
  • lean fish, lean meat, seafood should be consumed in combination with fresh vegetables (except potatoes) in a ratio of 1: 3, not more often than once a week for lunch or dinner;
  • products rich in vitamin B3 (PP, niacin, nicotinic acid): pork liver, beef, white mushrooms, peas, mushrooms, chicken eggs, beans, hazelnuts, pistachios, walnuts, barley and oatmeal, corn, sunflower seeds, sunflower seeds peanuts, buckwheat, bran, peeled sesame seeds, yeast, whole grain products, wheat and rice bran;
  • antidepressant products: almonds, salmon, trout, seaweed, broccoli, bananas, turkey, lamb, rabbit, blueberries, strawberries;
  • soups without prepared sauces and ingredients;
  • fresh fruits and vegetables;
  • dried fruit;
  • homemade natural juices;
  • honey.

Dangerous and harmful products in schizophrenia

Do not accept:
  • alcohol;
  • products containing artificial and chemical substances;
  • refined products;
  • products with artificial vitamins, food supplements, synthetic dyes;
  • various semi-finished products;
  • breaded dishes;
  • sausages, frankfurters;
  • canned meat and fish;
  • mayonnaise, ketchup, sauces;
  • soluble broths and soups;
  • cocoa powder, yeast, instant coffee.
Limit consumption to:
  • sugar, desserts;
  • sweet carbonated drinks.

 These products interfere with the absorption of vitamin B3 by the body.
