The group of products that need to represent 70 - 80% of the menu and which are alkali-forming include:

  • fresh, steamed or fresh-frozen fruit (apricots, dates, cherries, grapes, figs, lemon, grapefruit, mango, lime, naked peaches, papaya, oranges, peaches, prunes, pineapple, raisins, kiwis);
  • certain vegetables and vegetable juices (carrots, beets, celery, parsley, lettuce, onions, garlic, white cabbage, broccoli, asparagus, sweet potatoes, spinach, zucchini, squash);
  • lecithin - added to food and beverages;
  • fresh juice of berries and fruits (pears, grapes, apricots, mango, papaya, grapefruit, pineapple), citrus juices (to be taken separately from dairy and cereals);
  • alkaline mineral water;
  • pure water (30 ml per kilogram of body weight).

Group of products that should represent no more than 20 - 30% of the food:

  • cereals and dishes thereof (oats, millet, barley, rye, buckwheat, bran, wheat, sprouts;
  • wild and brown rice;
  • seeds (sesame, pumpkin, flax, sunflower);
  • pasta (not of white flour);
  • steamed or boiled fish (lefer, tuna, mackerel, cod, sardines, sturgeon, flounder, swordfish, trout and others);
  • poultry meat (partridge, turkey, chicken);
  • lean lamb (not more than 100 grams per intake and not to be consumed with products containing starch);
  • low - fat dairy products (buttermilk, whey, goat 's milk, milk powder, unsalted and low - fat cheeses, cottage cheese, kefir, yoghurt; also: soy and almond milk;
  • eggs (soft or hard boiled) - up to 4 pieces per week;
  • vegetable oils (rapeseed, sunflower, corn, soybean, almond, olive oil) - no more than 1 teaspoon 3 times a day;
  • herbal tea (from chamomile, from watermelon seeds, from mulberry).

Harmful products for psoriasis

It is very important that the amount of acid-forming foods is limited or that they are excluded from the menu.

To reduce the consumption of:
  • some vegetables (rhubarb, legumes, Brussels sprouts, peas, lentils, mushrooms, corn);
  • some vegetables (avocados, cranberries);
  • hazelnuts, almonds;
  • coffee (not more than 2 cups a day);
  • red dry or semi-dry wine (up to 100 grams per reception).
In case of psoriasis, exclude the intake of:
  • tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, eggplants;
  • products high in starch, protein, sugar, fats and oils (cereals, sugar, butter, cream);
  • vinegar;
  • products with artificial additives, preservatives, colorants;
  • alcohol;
  • berries;
  • some species of fish (herring, caviar, salmon);
  • crabs, shrimps, oysters, mussels, squid;
  • poultry (goose, duck, skins, smoked, fried or breaded);
  • meat (pork, beef, veal);
  • meat products (sausages, ham, sausages, offal);
  • high fat dairy products;
  • yeast and yeast products;
  • Palm oil;
  • coconut;
  • spicy spices;
  • sweet porridges;
  • smoked foods.
