Neurosis refers to diseases of the psychogenic group. The psychological signs of the disease are: constant dissatisfaction, gloomy and bad mood, picky and irritability, decreased appetite, poor and restless sleep, feelings of anxiety and fear, sentimentality, prolonged depression.

Neurosis can be due to many reasons. It is extremely important for the body to get enough folic acid , which is responsible for the level of serotonin (the "happiness hormone") in the brain. The acid can be obtained by eating the following foods:

In depression, there is a deficiency of vitamin B6, which is also necessary for the formation of the "hormone of happiness".

Vitamin B6 is contained in:

  • shrimp;
  • fish (salmon, mackerel, sardines, herring);
  • sunflower seeds;
  • hazelnuts;
  • lentils;
  • chicken;
  • bananas;
  • liver (beef);
  • vegetable oil (linseed oil, sunflower oil, olive oil).

The reason for the appearance of neurosis is the lack of vitamin C , which can be obtained by consuming:

  • citrus fruits;
  • garlic;
  • Red peppers;
  • onion;
  • spinach;
  • parsnip;
  • rose hips and decoction of them;

  • sea buckthorn.

Harmful products for consumption in neurosis:

  • foods high in white sugar, which contributes to the progression of depression, mood swings and excessive fatigue;
  • excessive use of animal fats, mayonnaise, margarine is not desirable, because these products do not allow the normal absorption of vitamins and minerals, it is possible disturbance of metabolism.
  • alcoholic beverages - alcohol exacerbates depression, good mood is replaced by depression and dissatisfaction;
  • coffee, black tea, carbonated beverages - caffeine is harmful in neurosis, as it excites and leads to aggression;
  • it is also necessary to reduce the use of products containing starch (corn, potatoes, pasta) - they contain easily digestible carbohydrates that provoke the release of insulin; as a result, glycemia develops, which is the cause of excessive fatigue, dizziness.
