Myocarditis

To recover, you need foods rich in protein, vegetable fats, vitamins A and D, potassium, magnesium, manganese.

Myocarditis is damage to the heart muscle due to an inflammatory process. The food products that should be consumed in case of such a health problem need to be directed in three directions:

  • to have anti-inflammatory action;
  • to eliminate allergic reactions;
  • to strengthen the heart muscle, for which a sufficient amount of energy material must be obtained.

To meet these conditions, you need protein, vegetable fats, vitamins A and D, potassium, magnesium, manganese, calcium, polyunsaturated fatty acids.

The menu should include the following products:

  • dairy - cottage cheese, kefir, milk, cheese (soft) and dishes from them;
  • meat - lean pork, beef, beef, rabbit, poultry;
  • liver;
  • eggs;
  • fish;
  • fresh vegetables - beets, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, potatoes, cabbage (cauliflower), zucchini, eggplant;
  • green spices and leafy vegetables - parsley, dill, celery, spinach, green onions, lettuce;
  • fruits, berries;
  • drinks - weak tea, coffee substitutes, compotes, juices;
  • cereals - oatmeal, buckwheat porridge, barley;
  • bread - wheat;
  • dried fruits - prunes, rose hips, apricots, raisins;
  • honey, jam, marmalades, fruit caramel.

Meat and fish must be cooked. Eggs should be used to make only those dishes for which they are mandatory or to be prepared in the form of a steamed omelet.

Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Salads of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, seasoned with vegetable fat are preferable.

Soups to be vegetarian, sometimes you can use a concentrated broth.

Dangerous and harmful foods in myocarditis

Exclude from the menu or at least minimize the consumption of:

  • foods containing salt (sodium) - herring, caviar, salted fish, marinades, pickles, salted tomatoes and cucumbers, canned food;
  • products that cause bloating - grapes, white cabbage, onions, turnips, cold milk, carbonated beverages, beans, peas and other legumes, garlic;
  • products that excite the central nervous and cardiovascular systems - coffee, cocoa, strong tea, herbs, spices, concentrated broths (meat, fish, chicken).
