But no one likes to spit out pear seeds while eating. Whether you're going to cook pears in wine or caramel, bake with cheese topped with bacon, add to charlottes, or bake a cake with whole pears, you need to properly prepare the pears for further processing.
There are recipes that require the pear to retain its integrity. There are recipes where we use halves of pears or cut them into pieces. In any case, we need to get rid of the seed box, the skin and the area with the stalk. Using our advice on how to peel pears for different dishes, you can easily prepare beautiful and delicious favorite pear dishes.
Recipes with fresh pear ingredient
Step 1
For work, we need pears, a cutting board, a knife, a special knife for peeling vegetables, a noisette.
Step 2
Cut the pear in half. To do this, place it on a cutting board vertically and cut from the stem to the base.

Cut out the core with seeds with a noisette. If you don't have a noisette, use a small measuring spoon or teaspoon.

Cut out the stalk section with a knife, making a V-shaped incision.

Also remove the base of the pear.

Using a fruit and vegetable peeler, remove the peel.

The pear is ready to work.

Using a knife, cut out the base at the bottom of the pear.

Next, use a knife to make a vertical hole inside the pear, carefully removing the seed box. We use a knife if, according to the recipe, we need not just a whole pear on top, but also a ponytail on top (for the beauty of serving).

If according to the recipe we need a whole pear without a seed box, but the tail on top is unimportant, use a special knife to remove the core. Pierce the pear at the bottom and slide the knife up the center of the pear until it pierces the top of the pear where the ponytail is attached.

Pull the knife back. Together with it, the seed box and tail will be removed.
Step 6
Using a special knife for peeling vegetables and fruits, remove the peel.
Step 7
The pear is ready to work.
