Drying wild rose is one of the ancient ways of harvesting berries. If moisture is removed from the fruits, this will allow them to be stored for a long time and not deteriorate. If you dry the wild rose correctly, then all the beneficial substances are preserved, just the berries become denser and tighter.

The most correct way is to dry fruits for a long time in the oven or in a dryer for vegetables and fruits. For drying for the winter, collect wild rose in dry weather so that it does not soften from moisture. Pick fully ripe or slightly overripe fruits that are bright orange or red.
Before drying, sort the berries, removing spoiled and rumpled ones. Be sure to rinse the collected wild rose before drying, even if it grew far from the city. Dry rose hips should be in a place where it will not get direct sunlight.
It is best to dry the rosehip in the oven or electric dryer. You can store dried rose hips in a dark, cool place in jars covered with a cloth. From 1 kilogram of fresh berries you will get 250 grams of dried ones.
