How to determine the size of the portion of food we need with the help of the palm
It is often difficult for us to estimate exactly how much food we need to eat in order to feel full, to be healthy and at the same time not to harm our weight. We could easily learn to judge this only with the help of our own palm.
We suggest you continue reading to learn how to determine the required amounts of the most commonly consumed products .
So ... Let's find out how much we should eat at one meal!
According to nutritionists, the portion of meat should be as big as your palm, without including the length of your fingers.
Fish is not rich in harmful fats, so its amount is determined again by the size of the palm, but this time together with the fingers.
Two handfuls of valuable "herbs" is the portion that should be included with each meal. For a week it's been a whole bag.
80 grams is the norm for berries, which fits again in two handfuls. The same goes for the other fruits.
Vegetables should be as big as your fist or it's about half a plate.
These products are measured in dry and raw condition. About 75 grams is the recommended amount or as much as a fist.
One handful is the measure for nuts and seeds, which, however, should not be eaten at once, but one by one to be better absorbed by the body.
Carbohydrates should not be more than 200 calories (for men it can be 250) per meal, which means that the potatoes should be the size of a fist.
The recommended dose of fat (any: cow and peanut butter, oil, etc.) is one teaspoon, it is equal to the thumb of your hand. As for chocolate, you can measure it with a pointer.
Thirty grams of food is the best amount, which is equal to your two thumbs.
Pastries, including pastries, cakes, should not exceed 185 calories, which means a piece as big as two fingers.
If you follow these recommendations, you will not overeat and respectively you will not have problems with accumulated extra pounds.
