Quinoa is one of the most useful cereals containing vitamins, trace elements and minerals, proteins, fats, carbohydrates and fiber. All useful substances in quinoa are an order of magnitude higher than in other similar cereals, so the systematic consumption of this cereal has a beneficial effect on the entire body. Most often, quinoa is served as a side dish or porridge.
Cooking quinoa is no more difficult than other grains. Quinoa is boiled for about 15 minutes, and 2 cups of liquid are taken per glass of cereal. If you want to get a more subtle or mild taste, then the grits can be pre-soaked in water for 1-2 hours. If you want to get a more "powerful" taste, pre-calcine the grits in a dry hot frying pan for 4-5 minutes.
Recipes with water
Step 1
For work, we need water, quinoa, a fine sieve, a saucepan.
Step 2
Wash the quinoa thoroughly. This must be done so that the cereal is not bitter.
Step 3
Strain off the cereal.
Step 4
Place cereal and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat, covered, for about 15 minutes. As soon as the cereal releases "tails" - it is ready. Quinoa is ready to serve.
