How to brew coffee in a Turk step by step instructions with a photo

Step 1

For work, we need freshly ground coffee, water, sugar, salt, a cezve, a cup.

Step 2

In order to get delicious coffee, you should choose fresh roasted coffee beans. Roasted grains are not stored for a long time and quickly lose their flavor. Arabica is more aromatic, but if you like strong coffee, then choose Robusta. And the best option is a mixture of Arabica and Robusta.

Step 3

It is necessary to grind coffee beans immediately before preparation. You need to grind very carefully, achieving the finest grinding.

Step 4

To make delicious coffee, you need a Turk - dishes with a wide bottom, a narrow neck and a long handle. It is the dishes of this form that help to get the most delicious coffee.

Step 5

First, heat up a little cezve, and then pour in the coffee and heat it up a little in the cezve as well. For one serving of the drink, take 2 tsp. ground coffee.

Step 6

Whether to add sugar, salt or other spices to coffee is up to you. A pinch of salt enhances the taste of coffee, spices add original notes to coffee, or do not add sugar at all, or add a sufficient amount, as coffee is drunk either bitter or sweet enough. 1 teaspoon of sugar will make the coffee "medium" and no, so add 2 teaspoons of sugar or no sugar at all.

Step 7

Add water to the Turk. Water must be purified and ice cold. For one serving, take 100 ml of water.

Step 8

Brew coffee over low heat and do not go anywhere while brewing coffee, do not be distracted by other things. Don't let the coffee boil. As soon as the foam begins to rise, the coffee should be removed from the fire. After 5-7 seconds, the procedure can be repeated once or twice. The number of conditional boils depends on the size of the Turk: the larger the Turk, the more boils are required. The main thing here is that the foam does not burst, as then the aroma of coffee will disappear. At the end, add some cold water to the cezve or bang the cezve on the table to settle the thick.

Step 9

Preheat the cups by pouring boiling water into them.

Step 10

Remove the boiling water from the cups and pour the coffee. Before drinking coffee, let it stand in a cup for a minute or two so that the thick settles. The coffee is ready.
