Chlorella

In this article, learn more about Chlorella. Chlorella - a superfood from the ocean..

Chlorella is a green algae defined as a superfood. This is no accident, because it is a source of carotene, vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, C, provitamins D, K, PP, E, folic acid, biotin. Note that it contains vitamin B12, which is devoid of even yeast and higher plants.

Dry biomass of algae consists of proteins - up to 55%, carbohydrates - 30-35% (most of them are dietary fiber), lipids - up to 10% (80% of them unsaturated fatty acids), a number of minerals - about 10 %.

Chlorella protein contains dozens of amino acids, all essential. Only milk powder and meat can compete with algae in this respect, risking to remain in second place.

No other plant contains such amounts of vitamins and minerals. We have already mentioned the vitamins. As for the mineral composition, it is represented by calcium , phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, zinc, iodine and others.

Algae contain a huge amount of the pigment chlorophyll (3 times more than spirulina), which contributes to the production of interferon - a protein that fights viruses and participates in the processes of blood formation.
