The menu may include honey, dried fruits (prunes, apricots, dates, figs, heavenly apples). Cakes, shortbread biscuits and pastries are prohibited.

After appendix surgery it is absolutely forbidden to consume:

  • salted and smoked products;
  • salt and spices;
  • fatty meat broths;
  • carbonated drinks;
  • nonfat cottage cheese, milk and cheese;
  • pastry;
  • greasy sauces and mayonnaise.

After the medical intervention:

  • all foods and products that are taken must be crushed or prepared in the form of liquid dishes (this is necessary to facilitate their absorption by the body);
  • feeding should be in small portions 5-6 times a day;
  • drink plenty of fluids every day;
  • the products are boiled or steamed;
  • 2-3 weeks after the operation you can switch to a normal diet if your doctor decides that this is right for you.

The treatment diet for appendicitis and the selection of the menu are strictly individual and have their own characteristics. It is very important to consult a doctor before embarking on a diet. Self-medication is dangerous to health.
