Long-term drinking of small amounts of alcohol of any kind prolongs life by about two years compared to abstainers. According to experts, up to two glasses of beer or wine a day are considered recommended.
The beneficial effects of alcohol are significantly lower in those who drink larger amounts, according to a study published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.

The results of the study clearly show that men who drink only wine or less than half a glass a day live about two and a half years longer than those who drink beer and concentrates, and almost five years more than those who do not no alcohol.

Scientists claim that drinking wine is associated with a reduced risk of death from heart attack , stroke or any other illness.

Moderate wine intake is good for the heart as it is associated with higher levels of omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids. The main source of the latter is fish and they are a proven protective factor for the cardiovascular system.

With regard to alcohol, the one with a certain positive role is wine, but of course in moderation. In this regard, a study was conducted in southwest London, England, Limburg, Belgium, and Abruzzo, Italy. With the assistance of general practitioners, participants were subjected to a thorough medical examination, assessment of eating habits in the last year, alcohol intake.

In moderation, wine induces an increase in the level of omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids, protecting to some extent from coronary heart disease and its complications.

According to Dr. Martinet Strepl of the University of Ugeningen in the Netherlands, people who consume alcohol should do so in moderation, one or two glasses a day is preferable to wine. The protective effects of alcohol on the heart are manifested only in moderate drinking in middle-aged men. Excess can lead to accidents and diseases such as cancer or cirrhosis of the liver.
