Slow eating three times a day is the optimal option for maintaining a healthy and beautiful figure

Researchers at the University of Rhode Island in the United States have shown that people who eat more slowly eat less food and enjoy it more. Dr. Kathleen Melanson conducted a study to prove the benefits of slow eating. According to her, slow eating three times a day is the optimal option for maintaining a healthy and beautiful figure.

 

The study was based on the observation of volunteers divided into two groups - one who ate quickly and the other - slowly.


 

People in the first group finished the given meal in an average of 9 minutes, consuming about 646 calories. Most of them said that within the next half hour they were hungry again and ate an additional 579 calories.

 

In the other experimental group, the volunteers ate the same amount of food as in the first group for half an hour. Immediately afterwards, they stated that they felt completely full, and this feeling persisted for more than an hour. The intake of food, according to the participants in the experiment, was defined as significantly tastier than the opinion of the first group.

 

Nutritionists are also of the opinion that without a doubt, slow ingestion of food helps to lose weight or maintain a normal weight. They recommend eating slowly 3 times a day. This will certainly ensure the intake of 210 calories less than one who eats fast.
