Required products :

  • 1 carp about 1 - 1.5 kilograms
  • 1 - 2 onions (you can use leeks)
  • 1 - 2 medium carrots
  • canned peas to taste (eg 1 can)
  • a pinch of dried basil or a stalk of fresh
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • oil

Method of preparation is:

Clean the fish, cut off the head, cut the carp into portions and rub them with salt.

Grate the carrots, cut the onion into thin semicircles (if you use leeks, cut it into circles).

Heat oil in a suitable pan, add onion and fry until the specific aroma appears. Then add salt, put the carrots, stir and stew everything for 2-3 minutes.

Add the peas to the remaining vegetables (drained of the liquid) and spread the pieces of fish on it. Close the pan with a lid and let the dish simmer until ready (about 15 - 20 minutes).

Juices are released from the fish and vegetables, if you think there is a lot of liquid, remove the lid so that it can evaporate and the sauce thickens (the thicker, the tastier it will be).

Leave the finished dish to stand for a while and then serve warm, not hot.

Enjoy your meal!
