How To Cook Party Meatballs With Nutmeg - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1 slice of bread
  • fresh milk for soaking
  • 4-5 tablespoons of flour
  • 75 grams of ground dry bread crumbs (or breadcrumbs)
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 grams of minced pork
  • 250 grams of minced beef
  • 50 grams of grated Parmesan cheese
  • a handful of parsley
  • grated nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon crushed fennel seeds
  • 2 cloves garlic - crushed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 lemon - for squeezing

Method of preparation :

Soak a slice of bread in fresh milk - leave for a while.

Put the flour in a shallow dish and the breadcrumbs in another. Beat one of the eggs with a little water and set aside.

Mix the two types of minced meat with the remaining eggs, parmesan, parsley, a little nutmeg, fennel seeds, garlic and season with salt and pepper. Squeeze the slice of bread out of the liquid and add it to the mixture. Knead and form 16 round meatballs.

Roll the balls in flour, dip in the beaten egg and cover with bread crumbs.

When all the meatballs are breaded, heat the olive oil in a deep pan and fry the meatballs for 8-10 minutes until golden.

Put them on kitchen paper to drain the fat. When serving, squeeze half a lemon on them.
