Old Bay is a classic combination of different types of spices, which is most often used for seafood dishes. It can also be added to mashed potatoes, vegetable dishes, combines well with chicken or pork chops. Add it to sour cream and you have the perfect vegetable dip.

Feel free to change the amount of some of the spices according to your taste - if you like more spicy flavors, add more mustard or hot pepper, if you like the smoky aroma - add a little smoked paprika.

This mixture can be stored for up to about 6 months in a tightly closed container in the dark. Never store spices near the stove on the hob or in direct sunlight, as this affects the taste and aroma.

Required products :

  • 1 tablespoon ground dried bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons samardala
  • 1-1 / 2 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • 1-1 / 2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sweet or smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice

Method of preparation :

Mix all the spices - if necessary, you can saturate them in a mortar or blend them in a robot for a short time.

Put the spice mix in a jar, close tightly and store in a dark and cool place.
