Required products :

  • 200 grams of ricotta (or cottage cheese)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • fruit jam on request
  • frying oil

Method of preparation :

Put oil in a deep saucepan (at least about 4-5 centimeters from the bottom of the dish). Put it to heat until it reaches 160 degrees (you can check with a piece of bread, when you put it in the oil, it should turn golden in 30 seconds).

While the fat is heating, mix the ricotta with the eggs, vanilla and sugar. Add the sifted flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt.

Grease a large pan as well as your hands. Using a spoon, take some of the mixture and form 24 balls, which you arrange on the tray.

When the fat heats up, put a few balls of dough in it. When fried, transfer with a slotted spoon onto a napkin.

Serve the buns sprinkled with a little icing sugar and your favorite jam.
