Necessary products:

350 g kadaif (ready)

1 kg of sugar

5 tsp water

juice of 1/2 lemon

lemon peel

nuts

Method of preparation:

Arrange the kadaifa in a pan greased with melted butter. Also grease the top and put in the oven to bake until golden. You can put the walnuts inside the velvet, the other option is to sprinkle them on top, add the grated lemon peel.

Make the syrup. Pour the water into a saucepan, pour the sugar into it, bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes. Add the lemon juice and turn off the heat. Let the syrup cool for about 15 minutes (you will get a soft kadaif, if you want it to be crispy - let it cool for 40 minutes). Pour the dough - there is a subtlety here: one should be warm and the other cold, ie if you baked kadaifa, you have to wait for it to cool completely and then syrup, because otherwise you will not get dessert, but porridge.

Enjoy!
